Zoom Scraps Five9 Deal

Zoom has ditched a deal to acquire Five9 valued at a staggering $14.7 million. The deal was abandoned a matter of weeks after the US Department of Justice raised national security concerns with shareholders advised to vote against the takeover by a proxy group.

Google Unveils Contact Centre Offering at Enterprise Connect

Google is rolling out Chrome Enterprise Recommended Contact Centre stacks, built in partnerships with 8×8, Cisco, Edify, Fiv9, Genesys, RingCentral and Vonage. The offering is will be deployed via US reseller giant CDW.

Factor4, SavorConnect Launch Omni-Channel Shopify Gift Cards

Gift card and loyalty solutions provider Factor4 has partnered with integration platform SavorConnect to offer gift cards on Shopify’s ecommerce offering.

Factor4 offers a proprietary platform, technology and integrations in the loyalty space, with its RewardOS API integrating with point-of-sale devices. SavorConnect, meanwhile, is a platform from IT and cloud integration company WineryConnect.

Achievers Launches Employee Experience Platform

Employee voice and recognition provider Achievers has announced the launch of an Employee Experience Platform as a centralised location for employee experience programmes. Achievers said the platform was designed to enable smarter and more connected work experiences.

Enterprise Connect: AWS Debuts Amazon Connect Features

Cloud giant Amazon Web Services (AWS) has used the occasion of the ongoing Enterprise Connect event to announce a host of upgrades to its Amazon Connect cloud contact centre. Amazon Connect is an omni-channel cloud contact centre, which the company said was now supporting over 10 million contact centre interactions daily, thanks to its tens of thousands of AWS customers leveraging the product.
