Leading cloud communications technology provider, Content Guru, has announced the release of several innovative updates to its best-in-class media recording solution, storm® RECORDER ™.

storm RECORDER provides converged recording of every channel of communication, including voice, SMS and on-screen interactions. RECORDER ensures there are no loopholes in an organisations’ compliance and quality control framework.

The new features now available for RECORDER provide the following:

  • Newly-designed, more intuitive interface
  • Requires up to 50% less storage space for recordings
  • Stereo recording providing more precise, high fidelity audio, improving transcription accuracy through splitting the parties on a call, and incorporating AI-powered Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology for detailed and fast analysis
  • Splitting the audio recording by both speaker and by time makes it easier to check for compliance or training issues, and leads to improved agent monitoring, keyword spotting and script adherence.

Richard Manthorpe, Product Director of Content Guru, said:

“Content Guru has been working hard to develop the latest package of updates to storm RECORDER. The cutting-edge stereo recording functionality is designed to deliver even clearer audio quality by recording each participant in individual channels, eliminating over-talk and reducing background noise. This enables more accurate speech-to-text transcription, empowering organizations to unleash the power of AI and realize immediate benefits from improved analytics and automated auditing.”

“Research and development has always been a key priority for Content Guru, and our product roadmap continues to evolve in line with the changing needs of our clients and the Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) market. We are excited to roll out these new updates and help our customers to stay ahead of their competitors, by reaping the benefits of our best-in-class recording capabilities”, adds Manthorpe.

Throughout the pandemic, storm allowed NHS 111 London to deal with up to 1400% increases in call traffic from patients concerned that they had symptoms of the virus, and enabled a leading airline to scale to cope with a 242% increase in the number of inbound calls received.
