Customer engagement platform MoEngage has introduced a new WhatsApp Business Integration to deliver more detailed customer insights and offer personalised WhatsApp campaigns for different customer segments.

MoEngage’s insights-led engagement platform analyses customer behaviour on their mobile app or website. By using an AI-based engine, platform users can predict the next steps in the customer journey and follow them up with contextually relevant alerts or reminders.

Raviteja Dodda, CEO and Co-Founder of MoEngage, said: “By teaming up with Meta, we aim to bridge the gap between enterprises and their customers by allowing them to leverage insights about their customers, their journeys, and the long-term impact of WhatsApp campaigns on key business metrics like LTV, revenue, retention, and product stickiness.”

The platform also splits customers into “micro-groups” according to their behaviour, aiding in supporting a more personalised experience.

MoEngage groups customers based on parameters such as acquisition channels, demographics, location, and more. Having this data at hand, agents can provide highly relevant messages.

For example, when customers search for particular products and abandon their shopping process, the platform captures this behaviour and notifies enterprises to take action in form of a WhatsApp message.

The message may include discounts relating to the products customers are looking for, contributing to a more personalised experience.

During Meta’s Conversation 2022 event, WhatsApp revealed numerous new features that cater to businesses of all sizes. The majority of updates focus on improved and unified business messaging.
