As macroeconomic uncertainty continues, Salesforce is focusing its innovation on helping businesses do more with less.

Such a trend became evident when it released a CRM Lite in August. Now, it is offering a new “Automation Everywhere Bundle.”

The package will allow businesses to streamline cross-department processes, enable end-to-end workflow orchestration, and embed data anywhere.

In making this package generally available, Salesforce hopes to help businesses cut costs.

Promoting its possible benefits, David Schmaier, President and CPO at Salesforce, said:

Automation – an integral part of the Salesforce Customer 360 – allows customers to receive highly personalized service across channels, and enables teams to boost productivity, better collaborate across the business, and focus their time on the highest value activities.

The new offering comprises of three elements: MuleSoft Composer, RPA, and its Anypoint Platform.

Composer offers a selection of pre-built connectors between enterprise apps, unlocking data and allowing businesses to automate event-based workflows.

MuleSoft RPA brings together more enterprise systems – whether legacy or SaaS – integrating the flow of work. It is also particularly good at processing documents and images while skimming unstructured data from various media.

Finally, its Anypoint platform provides API management, strengthening integrations and bringing “composability, governance, and monitoring” to automation.

In combining these solutions, Salesforce hopes to allow its customers to achieve end-to-end automation at scale.

Thankfully, each complements the other, as highlighted in the video below.

According to Salesforce, customers can save up to 40 percent with the Automation Everywhere Bundle compared to competitor solutions.

Perhaps take this with a pinch of salt, as it’s based on Salesforce estimating the prices of rival platforms versus its offering. However, businesses have shared their experiences of implementing its component parts.

Indeed, Greg Beltzer, Head of Technology, at RBC Wealth Management, an adopter of the Anypoint Platform, says:

With Salesforce, we have been able to consolidate 26 systems into one, reduce maintenance costs and streamline the client onboarding experience to signing agreements with just one digital click.

Arun Sankarapillal, Senior Director Product Experience Lead of Portfolio and Pricing at Bayer – a business that deployed the same solution – added:

Previously, it took our teams 5-6 weeks to develop a product, and now it takes just two weeks, so we are seeing 200% faster product development, and speed to market has increased by 5x.

These results are impressive, and many other businesses have experienced similar benefits when applying such automation.

For instance, 74 percent of U.S. organizations employ the technology to help them “get their work done faster,” according to MuleSoft.

However, just 23 percent of organizations have fully automated processes across business functions.

This disparity presents an opportunity that Salesforce – and its fellow RPA market leaders – will hope to fill in 2023.
