Optimizely is entering into a strategic relationship with Google Cloud, offering its clients easy access to Google’s latest innovations.

The move will also see Optimizely’s experimentation solutions – which provide analytics into the success of digital customer experiences – become available on Google Cloud. These include Optimizely’s Web Experimentation and Full Stack Experimentation tools.

Furthermore, Optimizely and Google Cloud will work together to enhance and expand their digital offerings, speeding up their CX innovation curve.

Celebrating the announcement, Alex Atzberger, CEO of Optimizely, says:

By entering into this strategic partnership with Google Cloud, we’re empowering marketers to unlock their digital potential, create exceptional customer experiences and deliver strong business outcomes all on a trusted, secure platform.

To do so, Optimizely replaces digital guesswork with “statistical rigour” through its experimentation platforms that aim to take the risk out of decision making. Clients can then invest in digital experience innovations that are more likely to pay dividends.

Yet, the partnership will change how Optimizely market their solution, collaborating with Google to coordinate a joint go-to-market and sales execution strategy.

Excited by this possibility, Rob Enslin, President at Google Cloud, says:

It’s critical that businesses deliver exceptional products and services to consumers, and this partnership will enhance their ability to do so, driven by the Optimizely platform, data and Google Cloud’s capabilities in AI and ML.

While users of Optimizely’s solution can already benefit from A/B testing, personalization, and feature management capabilities, Google’s AI and machine learning capabilities will push these further.

As a possible example, consider Optimizely’s Web Experimentation solution, which combines experimental data with existing data to predict the success of digital experience innovations. By harnessing Google’s AI capabilities, Optimizely can use advanced analytics to pave the way for deeper analysis.

For now, such possibilities require integrations with other analytics providers. However, many marketeers will have an interest in getting to grips with the future innovations that spring from this partnership.
