The European Contact Centre & Customer Service Awards (ECCCSAs) came back with a bang this week, celebrating companies that deliver the most exceptional service experiences.

Indeed, the event pays tribute to the cream of the contact centre crop, welcoming entrants from 32 countries across the continent.

These countries included Ukraine, with Ukrainian outsourcer Simply Contact winning the Best Crisis Management Approach award, earning a standing ovation from the 1,000+ crowd.

Teleperformance also caught the eye, winning three awards: Best BPO Partnership (Large), Outsourced Contact Centre of the Year, and Best Approach to Diversity and Inclusion.

Gousto, Ascensos, and Webhelp also won multiple awards on the night.

Heaping praise on these businesses, alongside all the other winners, Helen Wilson, Chair of the Judges and Global Chief Experience Officer – CX and Channel Performance at Ipsos, said:

The winners really deserve the recognition because they have pushed boundaries, delivered incredible customer experiences and truly value their people. Huge congratulations to them all.

Other notable winners included Three Ireland, which won the Best Customer Experience Award, with judges commending their efforts to deliver a “genuine omnichannel programme.”

Germany’s Home Shopping Europe also hit the headlines for capturing the Most Effective Deployment of Artificial Intelligence prize, thanks to its innovative bot implementation strategy.

Finally, the National Grid took home the Best Flexible Working Approach award, with CX Today handing over the trophy.

Discussing the significance of the event, Leigh Hopwood, Managing Director of the ECCCSAs and CEO at the CCMA, adds:

This one vision to deliver great CX is what bines us. And that’s why we have started to build relationships with associations across Europe, so that we can work together to continue to raise the profile of the customer contact industry right across the continent.

The ECCCSAs is making great strides in doing so, with the help of its host, Fiona Bruce, the renowned TV presenter and journalist.

Bruce was joined on stage by legendary guest Linford Christie OBE and Craig Pumfrey, VP of Corporate Marketing at Sabio, the headline sponsor.

Yet, now these awards have come to a successful close, it’s time to shed light on the CX vendors, which will come into focus at the upcoming CX Awards 2023.
