Banking software company Temenos has announced the provision of a new app to Italian bank Credito Emiliano (Credem) based on its Temenos Infinity cloud digital banking platform. 

Temenos said the app was designed to help Credem deliver more personalised digital banking services in the pursuit of customer loyalty, with Temenos Infinity reducing time and cost via a low-code development platform. 

David Macdonald, President of Europe, Temenos, said: “Digital innovation in banking is thriving in Italy, and it’s an important market for Temenos where we have a strong and growing presence. So we are delighted Credem has selected our digital banking platform to accelerate its digital strategy. Credem has shown how Temenos Infinity can deliver outstanding digital mobile experiences in a very short timeframe. Customer expectations are constantly evolving, but with the continuous innovation and deployment capabilities of the platform, Credem will always be one step ahead of the competition.” 

The Credem app is ran on a public cloud via Amazon Web Services, and offers features for personal banking such as moving money, viewing transactions, managing cards, and instant chatting with customer support agents; with more features via Temenos Infinity promised. A version for small businesses is also slated to release in the coming months. 

Digital Banking for Changing Customer Needs 

The Temenos Infinity portal also allows bank staff to manage accounts by collecting customer data in a web-based interface – matching the information a user sees on their own mobile or web interface.
