Conversational recruiting platform Paradox has closed a $200 million Series C round led by Stripes, Sapphire, and Thoma Bravo. The latest investment values the company at $1.5 billion. Paradox intends to put its effort into team expansion in 2022.

Paradox founder and CEO, Aaron Matos said:

“When we created Paradox, we saw a future where software became invisible — driven by conversations that untether people from their desktop through an assistant who gets work done for them. That vision is now taking hold in some of the biggest companies in the world and we couldn’t be prouder of that accomplishment.”

Paradox’s flagship product, conversational AI assistant Olivia is designed to help companies automate recruiting tasks such as candidate screening, interview scheduling, onboarding, all through smart, mobile-first experiences.

The company says its solution has helped over 500 global clients save countless hours of manual labour.

“We’ll continue to build the most innovative software in the industry, all while we grow and develop Team Paradox — the collection of people working tirelessly every day to create magical moments for our clients and their candidates. We’re humbled and honored to partner with investors who share our vision”, adds Matos.

The company has served many global brands, including the likes of Unilever, Nestle, McDonald’s, CVS Health, and others. One of Paradox’s earliest clients, Regis Corporation said they have seen “fantastic feedback from the field” since the implementation of Paradox’s solution Olivia.

One of the lead investors of this round, Thoma Bravo completed the acquisition of Medallia for $6.4 billion in November 2021.
