Portfolio and work management solutions provider Planview has announced new capabilities for its innovation management software Spigit.

Planview offers a range of solutions for innovation and strategy within a business, with its Spigit product focused on using the collective intelligence of the workforce by offering challenge template, embedded tutorials and reporting and analytics features.

The new TeamTap offering serves as an innovation hub to drive employee engagement and improve culture by allowing users to select micro challenges and participate in discussions. Features include crowdsourcing, ranking and narrowing ideas to participate in decision-making.

“More so than typical enterprise innovation models, TeamTap promotes collaboration and ideation within teams, using their crowd to lean in and problem solve,” said Louise Allen, Chief Product Officer, Planview

“TeamTap enables team-focused innovation and empowers employees throughout an organisation to voice opinions and play an active role in creative ideation, helping their companies uncover ideas, challenges and opportunities that exist within their team and operational innovation spaces.”

Data analysis, meanwhile, helps to uncover hidden ideas held by employees for data-driven innovation.

“This new capability extends an organisation’s ability to bring forth the ideas that can radically transform their business,” said Razat Gaurav, Chief Executive Officer, Planview. “Not only does TeamTap capture collaboration, but it also seamlessly manages the entire process of data-driven innovation and prioritisation for the lifecycle of a new concept – from idea to impact.”

The feature was announced at the company’s annual customer conference Planview Accelerate and will be made available for users of Planview Spigit on 29 September. The news comes off the back of record revenue and bookings in Q2 of 2021, with total bookings in H1 increasing 40% year-over-year.

“Our customers are grappling with change across multiple vectors: from evolving market dynamics, fierce competition, and changing customer expectations, to new business models, shifting company strategies and entirely new ways of working,” said Razat Gaurav in July.
