The theme that kept coming up when I was looking at customer relationship management (CRM) and customer data platform announcements in the past week is that vendors are working out how to make customer information available beyond the applications that are traditionally used to store, manage and analyze it. That often means going headless.
Cordial has taken its CDP outside its own interface, allowing marketers to access customer data through AI assistants. ZoomInfo is bringing sales intelligence into Snowflake's AI Data Cloud, while Oracle is developing ways to give enterprise AI agents a shared understanding of business information. Each is aiming to tackle a different version of the same challenge: fragmented data is still an obstacle to intelligent automation.
There were also more conventional customer data developments, including Stellantis selecting Amperity to unify customer information across its automotive brands.
Cordial Brings Customer Data Into AI Assistants
Cordial launched a headless customer data platform, designed to let marketers explore and activate real-time customer data directly inside the AI tools they already use, including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and custom agents.
Rather than forcing marketing teams to work inside a single system interface, Cordial is positioning the CDP as an open decisioning layer that can connect customer, product, message and performance data across systems such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Databricks and Snowflake.
The company says brands including Boot Barn and Torrid are using the platform to identify opportunities, recommend next-best actions and accelerate campaign planning.
Jeremy Swift, CEO at Cordial, framed the launch as a shift away from “legacy marketing clouds” that tether users to their own interfaces. Instead, he said, Cordial’s headless CDP puts “real-time customer data where work happens.”
Stellantis Selects Amperity for Trusted Customer Context
Automotive giant Stellantis has selected Amperity to support its customer data transformation and help deliver more personalized experiences across brands and customer touchpoints.
Amperity’s AI-powered Customer Context Platform is being used to unify fragmented customer data, resolve identities, and help Stellantis understand customers across vehicles, households, brands, dealers, digital interactions, and ownership journeys.
That is a particularly complex CX problem in automotive, where the customer relationship can span years and involve multiple dealers, service visits, financing interactions, connected vehicle signals and brand touchpoints.
According to Amperity, a proof of concept ingested millions of records in minutes and created a unified Customer 360 in less than three days. The platform will support use cases including audience building, cross-brand engagement, campaign measurement, after-sales journeys, loyalty and real-time response to customer signals.
Kabir Shahani, founder and co-CEO of Amperity, said the platform will help Stellantis turn “fragmented signals into real-time understanding” for teams and AI agents.
The announcement underlines that personalization now depends on a trusted, persistent customer context that can travel across marketing, service, analytics and AI systems.
Oracle Builds a Business Context Layer for Enterprise AI
Meanwhile, Oracle announced new Oracle AI Data Platform capabilities aimed at giving enterprise AI agents a shared understanding of business entities, relationships, policies and workflows.
