ServiceNow has dropped three announcements that, taken together, amount to the clearest signal yet of what AI Control Tower is aiming to become.
Revealed at the company’s Knowledge 2026 event in Las Vegas, ServiceNow is positioning itself as the governance layer for the enterprise, regardless of where AI agents are built, deployed, or operating.
In a single day, the company pushed AI Control Tower into Microsoft's productivity ecosystem, into NVIDIA-powered infrastructure, and deeper into enterprise security through the first real look at how its Armis and Veza acquisitions will function inside a live platform.
These should not be considered as isolated product updates, but as part of a wider expansion into the AI governance space.

Microsoft: Agents in the Workplace
The most immediately practical of the three is the expanded integration between ServiceNow AI Control Tower and Microsoft Agent 365.
ServiceNow already connects to Microsoft Foundry and Copilot Studio to enforce governance policies, and this latest update extends that coverage across Microsoft Agent 365's broader AI agent ecosystem.
In doing so, it provides IT and operations teams with unified visibility over agent activity across both platforms, wherever those agents were built or deployed.
ServiceNow AI specialists will also appear in the Microsoft Agent 365 Marketplace as digital employees with defined roles, permissions, and accountability, able to draft Word documents, respond to Outlook emails, and act on assigned PowerPoint comments, subject to Microsoft 365 admin policy controls.
Jon Sigler, Executive Vice President and General Manager of AI Platform at ServiceNow, framed the announcements as a working model for what enterprise AI should look like in practice:
“With this expanded integration, customers can securely apply governance across ServiceNow and Microsoft environments with integrated visibility and controls, while putting ServiceNow Autonomous Workforce to work across the Microsoft 365 environment.”
“This is an example of what it means to put AI to work at enterprise scale, with the trust and interoperability that business transformation requires.”
The integration is currently in preview, with ServiceNow AI specialists expected in the marketplace later this year.
NVIDIA: From the Desktop to the Data Center
The NVIDIA announcement covers considerably more ground.
The headline product is Project Arc, a desktop AI agent built to handle complex, multi-step work across enterprise tools without requiring pre-built workflows.
It runs inside NVIDIA's OpenShell, a sandboxed runtime with policy-based management, and is governed by AI Control Tower. It can be accessed via desktop app, enterprise collaboration tools, or email.
