Cloud contact centre solution provider Talkdesk recently announced the arrival of Vasili Triant as Chief Strategy Officer for the team. Triant’s appearance in the executive suite aims to strengthen the management team for the company and power an accelerated strategy for growth. Going forward, Vasili will be leading Talkdesk in evaluating and implementing large-scale strategic opportunities, while advancing the global market position of the industry’s fastest-growing solution for contact centres. Triant will be reporting to CEO, Tiago Paiva.

Triant is joining Talkdesk with more than two decades of leadership in the contact centre, UC, and software as a service environments. Most recently, he served as a vice president and general manager of the Cisco contact centre business, where he led engineering and product growth on a global scale. During his time with Cisco, Triant helped to transition the company from an on-premise environment into the cloud. Before this, Vasili held senior positions with Serenova (CEO), and ShoreTel  (VP of enterprise sales).

Building a Unique Executive Team

In his brand-new executive role, Triant will be overseeing the execution of crucial Talkdesk initiatives, as well as identifying crucial investments, development opportunities, alliances, and partnerships. As a long-standing professional in the telecoms and customer service industry, Triant will bring excellent background knowledge into shaping the corporate strategy for Talkdesk. Triant will be working closely with Paiva, the Talkdesk senior leadership, and the board of directors for the company to implement a comprehensive plan for strategic growth.

According to CEO, Tiago Paiva, Talkdesk is building an executive team unlike anything else in the industry. The arrival of Vasili will mark a crucial milestone in the company’s growth. Talkdesk will now be better positioned to offer consistent, intelligent, and effortless experiences in customer service.

According to Vasili Triant, the decision to join the Talkdesk community was an easy one. He loved the team he was going to be working with, and believed in the product, which he feels has the potential to disrupt the entire market and shape the trajectory of a growing brand.

Joining the Talkdesk Team

Triant noted that he has built a valuable relationship with Tiago over the last few years and that he’s seen the growth potential of the brand. Triant will be assuming the role of CSO at Talkdesk at a significant point in the customer service space. Currently, enterprises are moving rapidly away from legacy contact centre providers in favour of a range of more flexible cloud technologies. Gartner believes that CCaaS will be the preferred mode of adoption by 2022.

Additionally, Triant is also joining Talkdesk at a time when the company is experiencing incredible growth and momentum. Today, the company is one of the most recognisable in the contact centre industry. Talkdesk also achieved a Leadership position in the CCaaS magic quadrant for this year’s Gartner report.
