What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?
Who is your business hero and why?
I don’t really have any specific heroes but many leaders I admire, including Sir Clive Woodward. His use of mind management throughout his career especially during the Rugby World Cup of 2003, had a big impact on many leaders, including myself.
What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?
Time kills deals. I’ve been in many situations, both personally and a s a Manager, where the lack of sales methodology has reduced a great prospect into dust due to the time and effort taken to properly qualify and close.
What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?
Legacy by James Kerr. It goes deep into the heart of the world’s most successful sporting team, the legendary All Blacks, to reveal powerful and practical business lessons.
What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?
To stand out in an increasingly busy technology space and to find VAR’s willing and enabled to sell.
What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?
I hate to say it, but AI. It’s a massively over-used term that can mean so much or so little. AI to me means automation and this will, without doubt, have a positive impact on the Contact Centre space for years to come.
