AI firm Collective[I] has announced the launch of a new Intelligence Institute dedicated to upskilling B2B sales professionals with the soft skills complementary to new artificial intelligence approaches in the field.
Collective[I] offers software for digital sales transformation, with a network that augments the CRM with AI-enabled features such as daily forecasts, pipeline intelligence, and collaboration tools. The company also manages its Connectors social network for sales leaders.
Despite its technology, the company said a range of human skills were still essential to the sale profession.
“We are anticipating a shortage of B2B sales and other revenue producing professionals highly adept in uniquely human skills,” said Collective[i] Co-founder and Chairperson, Heidi Messer. “As artificial intelligence increasingly automates tasks and guides focus, the so-called “soft” skills of sales––empathy, persuasive communication, active listening, consensus building, and networking––become even more essential.”
Harmonising AI and Human Workers
Collective[i] said its initiative would focus on non-technical skills artificial intelligence cannot replicate.
“Collective[i] has been at the centre of this transformation and saw a need. As a company whose mission is to empower people and fuel global prosperity, we see Intelligence Institute as a core extension of our technology,” said Messer. “Artificial intelligence amplifies human intelligence, which is why we believe the demand for people with modern skills will be enormous. Now is the time to train for the jobs of the future and open up newer paths to prosperity.”
Last year, the company announced the institution of a leadership council for its community of operations and enablement professionals. The Special Ops Leadership Council was said to be dedicated to supporting the next generation of revenue operations and enablement leaders as the field expands in size and scope.
“The Special Ops Leadership Council reflects the pioneers of digital sales transformation. They are operating in unchartered territory and successfully guiding their organisations to be shining examples of innovation and excellence,” said Marianne Borenstein, Chairperson of the Special Ops Leadership Council and Chief Client Officer at Collective[i]. “As every company faces the massive challenge of modernising, these executives are making it happen. We’re looking forward to the impact they will make on the rapidly growing Special Ops community.”
