What has been your business/work highlight of 2024 so far?

About 18 months ago, I relaunched M&T’s Employee Advocacy program with job aids, in-person roadshows, a new front-end experience, a submit content button, a newsletter, and MUCH more content from around the bank’s footprint. The Q1 report showed that our employees in the program are driving more engagement on LinkedIn than the bank is organically driving across all of its social platforms. This is a massive testament to the power of the network. We will continue to arm our employees with high-quality content and encourage them to post.

Who is your business hero and why?

Ragy Thomas is the founder of Sprinklr, a best-in-class tool with a highly passionate, talented team behind it. Ragy’s vision and his ability to build it are inspiring beyond measure. He is a brilliant innovator who values his team and clients. I’ve met Ragy on a few occasions, and when you’re in his presence, you know you’re part of something extraordinary.

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

As I work in social media, I constantly remind myself that Speed, Quality, and Accuracy are all important. You can’t over-index any one of these because the others will suffer.

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

It’s not a book, per se, but a newsletter by Entrepreneur Magazine’s Editor-In-Chief, Jason Feifer. One Thing Better gives you one new way each week to build a career or company you love: https://www.jasonfeifer.com/start-here/

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

I’m going to work on some new programs that will help us to sell in social.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

We’re currently working on a contract renewal with Sprinklr. Rather than auto-renew, we’re building in some new products and capabilities to expand what we can do and drive deeper business goals.
