UserTesting, a leading provider of on-demand human insight, today announced several innovations within the UserTesting Human Insight Platform. The platform is designed to improve the speed quality of insights, making fast customer feedback accessible to more people, and more teams within an organisation.

As a part of the April 2021 Product Release, a new template gallery will allow for easier testing with out-of-the-box sample questions and approval flow features to make for more accessible test review and management across an organisation. There is also tree testing to enhance usability testing capabilities, and integration with Qualtrics to combine customer sentiment data from Qualtrics with human insights from UserTesting.

UserTesting’s latest release helps companies to:

  • Discover, create and quickly launch tests to bring real human insight to any team

The new template gallery enables all teams to create and launch high-quality tests faster, and ensure they align with industry best practices for collecting customer research and feedback. The template gallery has a single location for saved test plans and UserTesting’s Quick Answer templates. On top of that, the new approval flow makes it easier for teams to manage and scale their programmes by giving additional governance and control over test launch.

  • Pair analytics and video feedback to understand the “why” behind customer expectations

The UserTesting tree testing solutions is created to help customers build better digital experiences by enabling them to get feedback on navigation, and content hierarchy.

Understanding how participants navigate through content on websites and mobile apps using analytics can lead to improved customer engagement and higher conversion rates. Tree testing is based on UserTesting’s information architecture testing capabilities, along with its recently launched card sorting feature.

A new Qualtrics integration brings customer sentiment data and human insight to help organisations understand the ‘why’ behind customer feedback. This is to help teams make more informed customer decisions. Qualtrics and UserTesting together provide a quick and seamless way for organisation to gain a more holistic vie of experiences.

  • Leverage machine learning to quickly surface the most important customer moments

UserTesting is dedicated to investing in machine learning to bring greater efficiencies to how their customers work. Smart tags allow for easier finding and understanding of the most important moments within a video feedback session. What makes UserTesting’s purpose-built machine learning model stand out from the crowd is that it evaluates video feedback and analysis in real-time. Smart tags build on sentiment analysis solution released in 2020 and automatically detect ten common tags, such as trust, ease, aversion, recommendations, and more. Smart tags also will also work for written responses to help evaluate even more test types.

Kaj van de Loo, CTO at UserTesting, said:

“Today, the speed of business, combined with the rapidly changing needs of customers means having a continuous customer feedback process is a business imperative, this latest product release empowers teams with new capabilities for launching tests across experiences and to quickly zero in on the key moments of insights. All of these capabilities are designed to help teams to incorporate human insights quickly, confidently, and at scale.”
