The acquisition allows Cyara to build on its digital CX assurance capabilities
Cyara has acquired Botium, adding automated chatbot testing to its array of customer experience assurance offerings.
The move comes after numerous expert predictions envisaging the growth of conversational AI. Indeed, 2021 Gartner research anticipates a “significant” increase in chatbot, AI, and analytics investments over the next two years.
In line with this development, the need for solutions to efficiently train, test, and monitor the performance of conversational AI solutions increases. This is where Botium comes in. Offering a codeless, test automation toolset, Botium ensures a positive user experience.
Discussing the deal further, Alok Kulkarni, CEO of Cyara, stated:
This acquisition is a major milestone in Cyara’s growth, and it further enhances our ability to help companies assure their end-to-end customer experiences.
“We are so pleased to join forces with Botium to provide an easy way for enterprises to ensure their CX through an IVR, chatbot, agent-based phone, or some combination of voice and digital channels is flawless,” concluded Kulkarni.
The deal is a significant step in Cyara’s plan for international growth and product innovation, supplemented by its recent $350 million growth investment.
With this investment, Cyara aims to deliver a “complete CX assurance platform”, which will test customer journeys, no matter the channel or hosting platform.
By acquiring Botium, the company furthers its ability to do so, harnessing the power of a platform used by 1,500 customers and 185,000 open-source users to run more than 100 million chatbot tests.
Working with some of these customers, Cyara also increases its international presence, especially in Central Europe, as the head offices of Botium reside in Austria.
