NICE, the world’s leading provider of on-premises and cloud enterprise software, recently announced the next step in its comprehensive growth plan. A company known for creating powerful solutions communications and analytics in the business world, NICE will now be taking its cloud analytics services one step further with the acquisition of “Mattersight”.

In a press release revealing the definitive agreement between Mattersight and NICE, the enterprise software solution company suggested that this new purchase will allow them to enhance their customer base and portfolio.

The Benefits of the Acquisition

Mattersight is a well-known provider of cloud-based analytical solutions, specifically created for customer service companies. Using highly innovative interaction analytics, Mattersight establishes an in-depth understanding of agents and customers, providing actionable insights to boost customer experience (CX). With Mattersight, agents can act in real-time to the needs of consumers and deliver support in a personalised manner.

The upcoming integration between NICE and Mattersight’s behavioural analytics technology and domain management solutions will allow organisations to enjoy some of the most advanced analytics systems the marketplace has to offer – driving smarter and more customised connections in real-time. NICE believes that the acquisition will help them to stay ahead of the curve in a marketplace searching for ever-advanced ways to boost CX.

A Strategy Focused on Analytics

According to the CEO for NICE, Barak Eilam, Analytics is a critical component of NICE’s strategy for customer service support. As they were searching for the next step in their growth plan, NICE was impressed by the innovative technology and expertise that Mattersight brought to the analytics space, as well as their renowned strategic relationships with some of the world’s biggest customer service companies.
