Cloud-based CPaaS solutions provider Vercom has acquired MailerLite, an email communication platform, for approximately €84 million (400 million zloty).

The deal will see Vercom expand its customer base and reach a wider global audience, strengthening its presence in 180 countries.

Because of its significant sum, the acquisition is one of the largest ones made by a Polish technology company in the last few years.

Krzysztof Szyszka, CEO of Vercom, said:

“We made the largest acquisition of a foreign entity by a Polish company in 2022 and one of the largest in the technology industry in recent years.

“With the acquisition of MailerLite we become a global company, present in 180 markets with strong exposure to the US and Western Europe. This allows us to compete with the best players in the industry, such as Twilio or Sinch – says Krzysztof Szyszka, CEO of Vercom.”

Founded in 2005, Polish-based Vercom offers a CPaaS platform that enables companies to streamline communications processes by unifying multiple communication channels like SMS, email, Push and instant messaging, into one platform.

Global brand names that have been using Vercom’s platform include IKEA, American Express, DHL, and more.

“We are very pleased that all conditions precedent have been met and the acquisition has been successfully completed. We are now focused on the integration process, which will allow us to benefit from MailerLite’s international presence and realize synergies related to cross-selling of services.

“We will see the effects of the acquisition in Q3 2022, which will be the first full period of consolidating MailerLite’s results”, added Szyszka.

Vercom has also recently acquired another Polish company – Oxylion – for around €7 million, adding voice as a communication channel to its CPaaS platform.
