Virtualisation technology company VMware and digital employee experience management company ControlUp have announced a partnership on work from anywhere solutions.

VMware will resell ControlUp’s new digital employee experience management solutions, making them available to VMware Horizon customers, allowing them to view remote workers’ local area networks, and perform testing to spot potential problems.

VMware Horizon is a desktop and application virtualisation product, with customers already able to license ControlUp solutions including ControlUp Solve and ControlUp Real-Time DX.

“VMware and ControlUp have partnered to bring Horizon customers even greater employee experiences while helping IT simplify operations and reduce cost,” said Asaf Ganot, CEO and Co-Founder at ControlUp.

“These expanded offerings speak to the partnership ControlUp and VMware have had to date and will give VMware Horizon customers the added flexibility they need to relieve pressure on IT teams and keep employees happy and productive.”

The new solutions are:

  • ControlUp Remote DX – which enables end-to-end visibility into the experience of digital employees by monitoring network performance and ISP connectivity measurements
  • ControlUp Scoutbees – a solution which uses proactive synthetic testing to alert IT operations teams about availability issues across applications, desktops and network resources

“ControlUp’s Remote DX and Scoutbees solutions can enable Horizon customers to provide better, more consistent experiences to employees as they work from any device and anywhere,” said Bharath Rangarajan, Vice President of Product Management, End-User Computing, VMware. “VMware and ControlUp will continue to collaborate to enable customers to better support their anywhere workforce.”

Back in May, ControlUp added ControlUp SOLVE to its VMware Horizon solutions portfolio, a health of the end user computing environment with a real-time dashboard to reveal detailed metrics on infrastructure.

Remote work isn’t the ‘new normal’; it’s now just normal. This change in workstyle has placed challenges in the path of IT, as they have to now manage not just several offices or branches, but innumerable remote work locations,” said Yoni Avital, COO and Co-Founder at ControlUp, at the time.
