Aspect Software is one of the industry’s leading providers of end-to-end customer engagement solutions, self-service omni-channel systems, and workforce optimisation tools. Created to help bridge the gap between processes, people, data sources and technical operations, Aspect Software offers a helping hand to organisations during digital transformation and growth. For the start of 2019, the company announced a new step in their roadmap, marked by a definitive merger agreement with Vector Capital.
Vector Capital, one of the leading global private equity firms specialising in established technology businesses, will be acquiring Aspect Software with an investment of over $100 million in equity, delivered into Aspect’s business. Following the terms of the agreement, the existing lenders associated with Aspect will be able to continue giving their support to the company, with a new credit facility available at closing. As per most typical cases, the upcoming transaction will be subject the customary closing conditions of the industry, and it should come to a successful close during the first quarter of this year.
An Exciting Partnership for Aspect Software
In a press release about the acquisition, the President and CEO of Aspect Software, Chris Koziol expressed his excitement, stating that the team is thrilled to be joining forces with Vector Capital in a move that will accelerate the transformation of Aspect’s future. Koziol and his fellow C-Suite believe that the acquisition will help to refine Aspect’s forward-looking strategy and ensure that they can execute their current plans for growth.
Vector will provide Aspect with a significant boost to their financial and operational resources. What’s more, the company has a long-standing record of support companies as they pursue the development of new products and innovation.
Managing Director for Vector Capital, Andy Fishman, noted that the team at Vector are happy to be moving ahead in this new collaboration with Aspect Software, who have a reputation for delivering exceptional solutions to a blue-chip consumer base. Vector Capital believes that Aspect is well-positioned to take advantage of the growing opportunities in the market for customer engagement.

According to a Principal for Vector Capital, Sandy Gill, the company had always felt impressed by Aspect’s dedicated team of leading professionals, and strong business ethics. Going forward, the two sides are excited about working together on a joint strategy for growth and development, supported by both strategic acquisitions and organic initiatives.
