NICE Actimize has introduced its AI-powered employee monitoring solution ‘SURVEIL-X Behaviour’ into its SURVEIL-X Holistic Employee Conduct Surveillance suite.

SURVEIL-X Behaviour provides organisations with an all-in-one behavioural profile of their employees to help them assess conduct levels, while also identifying the various root causes driving potentially damaging actions.

On top of surveillance for communications, sales, markets, and conflicts of interest, the fraud prevention solutions provider NICE Actimize can now offer financial services companies’ behavioural insights into their employees via SURVEIL-X.

Vinod Jain, Strategic Advisor, Capital Markets at Datos Insights, an insights, data, and advisory services company, explained the significance of deploying a comprehensive employee surveillance solution:

“Most surveillance systems today focus exclusively on individual domains, such as trading or communications, to the exclusion of behavioural factors which contribute to risk and ultimately impact a firm’s reputation, profitability and market valuation.

“These metrics are traditionally stored in various, fragmented systems, making it difficult to secure a reliable and comprehensive picture of employee behaviour.”

Key Features: SURVEIL-X Behaviour

SURVEIL-X Behaviour will alert managers when triggered by certain employee actions, like failing to complete compliance training or crossing a reasonable threshold for customer complaints.

Managers have various proactive responses they can take as a result of these issues being brought to their awareness, such as employee training, creating new policies, launching investigations, and increased employee supervision.

Further SURVEIL-X Behaviour capabilities include data and alerts from ‘hundreds of sources’, such as HR, learning management, customer complaints, access control, and surveillance systems.

AI is also used to analyse employee behaviour and create an overall score based on trading limit breaches, aggressive communications, cancellations, corrections, and more.

The solution is also able to detect possible violations in the first place relating to seeling, expenses, attendance, customer complaints, unauthorised login attempts, breaches of information, time-off without prior agreement, and more.

Growing Compliancentral

When NICE Actimize introduced ARCHIVE-X in March 2024, it was described by the marketing technology news publication MarTech Series as the final element of its ‘compliance trifecta’:

“Together with NICE Actimize’s industry-leading compliance solutions, NTR-X Compliance Recording and SURVEIL-X Holistic Conduct Surveillance, ARCHIVE-X completes the compliance trifecta to form Compliancentral, the world’s first and only holistic end-to-end communication and trade compliance solution platform.”

Evidently, NICE has found yet more room for improvement with Compliancentral now adding SURVEIL-X Behaviour to its feature set.

NICE Actimize launched Compliancentral in 2022, describing it as the industry’s ‘first’ end-to-end communications and trade compliance platform.

It was setup with the purpose of capturing and analysing employee communications, plus trade and behavioural data, to locate and mitigate against poor employee conduct.

SURVEIL-X will therefore help NICE to achieve the same founding mission neatly outlined by NICE’s Executive Vice President, Chris Wooten, when Compliancentral was first created:

“With the introduction of Compliancentral, we’re excited to continue to drive our mission forward of helping firms know more and risk less.”

NICE Actimize is owned by the Israel-based contact centre and customer experience specialists NICE.

In June this year, NICE released another AI solution, CXone MPower, dubbing it the “world’s first and only CX-aware AI platform”, which it said will “exponentially boost” overall customer experience performance.

The innovation combines the company’s CXone, Copilot, Autopilot, and Actions tools to create an AI powerhouse for its workers to leverage.
