Salesforce will soon launch MuleSoft RPA to automate enterprise-wide, complex business tasks across legacy and modern systems.

Combining MuleSoft RPA and MuleSoft Composer, Salesforce claims that the new no-code capabilities can “easily” automate any workflow.

As a result, both technical and non-technical teams may quickly adapt to change within the company and rising business complexity.

These solutions will fully integrate with Salesforce Flow, the vendor’s suite of automation technologies, which it recently enhanced to automate processes across Slack, MuleSoft, and Tableau.

Shedding more light on how he expects MuleSoft RPA to enhance enterprise connectivity, Shaun Clowes, Chief Product Officer, MuleSoft, said:

The result is empowered business and IT users, from sales and customer service to HR and finance, who can do more with less – quickly creating workflows and integrations that drive efficient growth and faster time-to-value.

As per Salesforce research, such automation features are in high demand, with over 90 percent of enterprise leaders reporting a rise in demand for time-saving automation from business teams over the past two years.

Yet, when requirements change, and companies theorize new ways of working, 96 percent of businesses find it difficult to modify existing automations.

The new MuleSoft innovations aim to calm those concerns, with new capabilities allowing companies to:

  • Spread Intelligent Automation Across the Enterprise: MuleSoft RPA harnesses bots that intelligently process data from any enterprise system, document, photo, or legacy user interface.
  • No Code, Only Clicks: The new capabilities connect applications with pre-built enterprise connectors and bots, purpose-built for various business teams.
  • Automate and Integrate Anything: The new capabilities go hand-in-hand with Anypoint Platform, MuleSoft’s integration, and API management solution. As such, new automations benefit from numerous connectors to many systems, enabling sophisticated workflows.
  • Security and Governance: IT teams can manage, monitor, and secure every automation and integration it builds with APIs or bots through the Anypoint Platform.

Also, as MuleSoft provides a software platform that connects almost every technology in a standardized way, IT teams can develop a simpler way of working that future-proofs the enterprise technology ecosystem.

Over time, such technologies will allow IT to shift from project deliverer to technology enabler as they discover and self-serve existing APIs and automations to reuse and move faster. As a result, they can more easily create new processes and experiences.

Unfortunately, businesses must wait until August 2022 before MuleSoft RPA becomes generally available. Yet, MuleSoft Composer is now accessible to companies across the globe.
