Recruitment marketing technology company Symphony Talent has launched a new event management solution.

SmashFlyX Events serves as a centralised location for the automation and management of virtual and in-person recruitment events, supporting the process from pre-registration to post-event job application conversion.

The module adds on to the company’s SmashFlyX Recruitment CRM, aimed at maximising understanding of candidates. The platform features an AI-driven recommendation engine to prioritise top candidates, a pipeline builder to create personalised application processes and a no-code campaign template builder.

Symphony Talent said that the solution was a response to changing work patterns caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. As hybrid work options have proliferated and employee fluidity has increased, companies face increased pressure to differentiate themselves to appeal to top talent, with recruitment marketing technology offering a way of personalising approaches to favoured candidates.

“Events have always been a powerful way to fuel talent pipelines quickly and also generate awareness for employer brands simultaneously,” said Roopesh Nair, President, and CEO of Symphony Talent. “But as the world shifts — through technology and workplace trends, we have to create event experiences that meet today’s expectations. This means designing a mix of virtual and in-person experiences that can work in tandem with our recruitment marketing platform.”

Events supported by the module can be advertised across all media channels and leverage existing contacts within the CRM to send invites. Among the solutions other features are:

  • Centralised event management within the CRM, including templates for quick event creation
  • Registered attendee tracking to automatically collect candidate information
  • Automatically triggered follow-ups via engagement workflows

Earlier this year the company published its 2021 Recruitment Marketing Strategies Report, based on research into the practices of Fortune 500 companies. Among the standout findings were that 76% of companies now have a talent network or job alerts, up from 57% in 2019.

“We’ve been able to quantify the growth and investment in recruitment marketing as a necessary discipline since 2015,” said Roopesh Nair. “In this volatile year, it’s clear that the most agile and successful companies were the few that had already established a solid strategy and technology foundation.”
