Cloud human resources platform BambooHR has announced the addition of new product features around employee performance and sentiment.
The upgraded offering will allow employees to provide sentiment context when giving employee net promoter score feedback and give managers control over requesting performance management assessments.
“As we move past the professional turmoil of the past 18 months, many employees are examining their career progress and workplace satisfaction with renewed interest,” said Amy Frampton, head of marketing at BambooHR. “Employers have a unique opportunity to capitalise on this engagement and mitigate potential employee turnover by enabling a deeper understanding of both how their employees are performing and how they feel about their workplace.”
Citing research from Gallup, BambooHR said that only 14% of employees strongly agreed that annual performance reviews inspired them to improve – suggesting that more frequent conversations about progression and development were preferable.

Understanding the Employee Journey
Among the new features now available are new assessment capabilities which give customers the option to skip assessments – remedying occasions where customers had to complete the process during an active review cycle. Also available is the option for managers to request impromptu assessments to request feedback at the most relevant times, as well as schedule promotions and raises outside of the regular review cycle.
New manual sentiment surveys also allow customers to understand the sentiment behind a comment independent of the score given, allowing a more nuanced picture and more accurate understanding of employee feedback.
