CRM company Pipeliner has announced the release of the latest version of its software.

The company’s CRM offering features sales productivity tools, automation, reporting and analytics functionality. Version 4.0 Kepler includes new project management and key account management capabilities as part of its aim to serve as a single holistic engine for revenue.

Pipeliner said the addition allowed it to support both “hunter” and “farmer” approaches, both seeking out new business while ensuring existing customers are nurtured – a feature it said was often ignored by CRMs.

New functionality includes:

  • Building projects and tracking associated objectives and activities
  • Tracking and visualising task durations
  • Linking projects to opportunities, contacts and accounts

“Just as Kepler placed the sun at the center of our solar system, we place sales right at the heart of commerce,” said Nikolaus Kimla, founder and CEO of Pipeliner CRM.

“Just as no life on a planet can survive without the sun, no business can survive without sales. Our previous major version was called Copernicus, and it signified the momentous event of Pipeliner CRM being fully in the cloud. Since its release three years ago, we have made thousands of improvements. It is only logical that with our next significant evolution, project management, we name the version after Kepler, the person who fully cemented Copernicus’s theories.”

The company recently announced the release of a database of experts and consultants integrated within its platform known as ExFind. The offering allows users to locate, contact and hire experts from within the CRM.

“Pipeliner has developed a detailed contact database made up of over 1400 experts from more than 27 countries worldwide, most of which have showcased their expertise in our flagship publication, SalesPOP!,” said Nikolaus Kimla. “The release of ExFind is part of our ongoing commitment to building a comprehensive tool that brings expertise, education and thought leadership to our audience and users.”
