Nuance Communications today announced the acquisition of AI start-up Saykara to automate clinical documentation for physicians.  

The deal highlights Nuance’s expansion of market and technical leadership in AI and ambient clinical intelligence (ACI) solutions with the aim of reducing clinician burnout, enhancing patient experiences and boosting overall health system financial integrity.

Harjinder Sandhu founded Saykara in Seattle in 2015. The company’s experienced technology executives will join Nuance’s research and development team.
