Recruitment CRM Hireology has announced the acquisition of employee referral technology provider EmployUs.

EmployUs’ software allows organisations to utilise employee’s existing networks in their hiring efforts, rewarding employees for recommending people for jobs and thus providing a consistent pipeline of talent for open roles. The company counts the likes of Syneos Health, Anderson Automotive Group, and Krispy Kreme among its customers.

“Employee referrals are hired faster, stay employed longer and are more engaged compared to employees hired through other sources,” said Ryan O’Donnell, CEO of EmployUs. “By bringing our solution together with Hireology, the market leader, employee referral programs will amplify existing sourcing strategies, saving time and reducing cost.”

Winning the Race to Hire

Hireology framed the purchase as expanding its solution set, which already encompasses channels such as Google Search, Facebook and job boards, to enable broader recruitment strategies – particularly necessary in the face of employee shortages post-COVID-19.

“As the economy reopens in the wake of the Covid pandemic, employers face a new challenge: finding enough people to hire,” said Adam Robinson, CEO of Hireology. “I’m excited for our customers to see firsthand how running a successful employee referral program can help build a more robust talent pipeline and accelerate hiring.”

Last year saw Hireology launch a new mobile application enabling hiring managers to communicate with candidates in an agile fashion – potentially beating competitors to the punch.

“Today’s hiring market is incredibly challenging for dealers across the country, with low unemployment and a quickly evolving HR tech landscape,” said Adam Robinson. “Timeliness and efficiency are critical when looking to secure top talent. Our mobile app meets hiring managers where they are—the office, the train, the sales floor—and enables the hiring process to fit seamlessly into the dealership day to day. But most importantly, we’re strengthening the lines of communication between hiring managers and qualified candidates.”
