The event also saw the company announce its role in in using its workflow and customer experience expertise to expand into the manufacturing, healthcare and life sciences industries.

Manufacturing Employee Experience

In manufacturing, the company has revealed new industry-specific solutions as part of its Now Platform, intended to enhance the employee experience – with Siemens Energy among early adopters.

“Manufacturers understand that the ability to securely run operations from anywhere and enable shopfloor workers with digital tools are crucial to compete and win in today’s dynamic global economy,” said Marshall Tyler, VP of Industry Solutions at ServiceNow. “ServiceNow is unlocking the benefits of workflow digitisation with a single platform that improves experiences and outcomes across the manufacturing value chain.”

The offering is intended to allow workers to make the most of increasing digital investments in manufacturing, improving the employee experience by connecting workers to digital operations through training and real-time data access.

Empowering Vaccine Contact Centres

ServiceNow also debuted updates to its Vaccine Administration Management solution, which has been used to support the delivery of COVID-19 vaccinations globally by orchestrating all parts of the vaccine delivery process.

One of the most critical areas is connecting to citizens to arrange appointments, with ServiceNow partnering with T-Systems to manage the vaccination of citizens in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

“We are very pleased with the successful launch of the new vaccination appointment booking platform in Westphalia‑Lippe,” said the Board of Directors of the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians of Westphalia‑Lippe, Dr Dirk SpelmeyerDr Volker Schrage and Thomas Müller. “The moment the platform was activated, several million users were able to book vaccination appointments. Despite this huge rush, the system functioned stably – in one second alone, we recorded more than 7,000 page views!”

120,000 people were registered within two hours of launching, with 5,000 appointments booked per minute at its peak. The company is continuing to innovate its solutions with the ability for staff to register walk-up appointments, and giving contact centre agents the ability to access all available appointment times.
