Zoom has announced that its Contact Center, Revenue Accelerator, Workplace, and Workvivo solutions are now available on the AWS Marketplace.
Within AWS’s digital catalog, businesses can find, purchase, test, and implement each offering, among thousands of other listings from independent software vendors (ISVs).
Businesses may also procure individual tools from within Zoom Workplace, including Zoom Meetings, Phone, Spaces, Team Chat, and Whiteboard.
Overall, the move marks a significant step forward in the two enterprise tech giants’ collaboration, with Zoom an AWS ISV for more than two years.
Additionally, the enterprise communications stalwart incorporates 40 different AWS offerings, including compute, storage, and encryption solutions. These enable Zoom to deliver reliable, real-time communications at scale.
Celebrating the next step in the partnership, Graeme Geddes, Chief Growth Officer at Zoom, said:
By making Zoom available through a private offer in AWS Marketplace, we are able to reach more customers and are better equipped to enable IT teams to consolidate their technology.
“At Zoom, we are excited to build upon our already strong relationship with AWS and work together further to help meet the business and technology needs of our customers.”
Despite being a significant player within the enterprise communications space itself, AWS has the overarching objective to get more enterprises on its cloud.
As such, it continues to strengthen its relationships with competitors, as evident in its blossoming partnerships with Genesys, RingCentral, and Twilio, too.
Earlier this month, AWS also added Kore.ai to its marketplace despite the vendor being one of its most prominent rivals in the enterprise conversational AI space.
Yet, with Zoom a household name, a leading UCaaS brand, and a rising CCaaS starlet, this move seems particularly significant and perhaps a sign of things to come.
After all, it already follows Zoom naming AWS its Partner of the Year at the close of 2023.
Then, Flemming Kongsberg, the former MD/GM of Technology Partnerships at AWS, foreshadowed a big, collaborative future for the two brands.
We continue to innovate together, and the partnership wouldn’t be where it’s at today without the strong leadership contribution from our Public Sector team… [We’re] looking forward to our continued joint success!
As the relationship deepens, expect more of Zoom’s technology to become available on the AWS marketplace, perhaps including its virtual agent, workforce engagement management (WEM), and marketing solutions. The latter includes Zoom Events, Sessions, and Webinars.
For Zoom, that’s likely crucial, as its complete platform is a core differentiator, allowing customers to consolidate their communications in one place.
As CRM vendors swallow up more of the CCaaS stack but appear unwilling to build out the vast voice networks to support contact centers and lower their margins, that broad enterprise communications vision becomes increasingly appealing.
Indeed, last quarter, Zoom landed another 117 CCaaS wins, which included its largest-ever contact center deal.
Yet, perhaps most interestingly, the vendor noted that – out of its top ten deals – four included displacements from existing CCaaS providers.
Such a shift reflects an industry-wide trend in migrations, not just from on-premise systems but cloud environments, too. That suggests widespread CCaaS disillusion, facilitating the rise of new-wave market entrants like Zoom.
