Who is your business hero and why?

Steve Jobs – “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.”

What’s the biggest business mistake you’ve made and what did you learn from it?

Staying in a startup for too long – realised I’m a founder and innovator, not a manager.

What’s the most inspirational book you’ve ever read and why?

The Tao of Pooh – “The play-it-safe pessimists of the world never accomplish much of anything, because they don’t look clearly and objectively at situations, they don’t recognise or believe in their own abilities to overcome even the smallest amount of risk.”

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role in 2024?

To keep innovating no matter what happens.

What technology will have the greatest impact on your business this year and why?

AI – having an unlimited number of interns that get shit done is both radically boosting the cloud comms business I work in, and the way I work in that business.
