Salesforce have announced it will start bringing employees back to its offices on a voluntary basis beginning in May.

As well as its San Francisco headquarters, the company will also open its offices in Palo Alto and Irvine, California, with more locations expected to reopen in the coming months

Salesforce will extend the option for employees to continue remote working at least the end of 2021.

Depending on COVID case rates, Salesforce will gradually transition to its second ‘phased reopening’ stage, where office capacity will increase to 75%, the business said.

Employees who are not vaccinated will be welcomed back during this time in addition to those who have been vaccinated.

Up to 17 Salesforce’s offices are i the phased reopening stage, and most of them are in the Asia Pacific region.

Salesforce will allow groups of 100 or fewer vaccinated employees back to their offices as part of its reopening strategy.

The employees will work on designated floors with safety protocols and health mandates in place, such as onsite COVID testing twice per week and health officers to assist employees and ensure safety measures are being followed.

The final stage of reopening will be offices having up to 100% capacity. Vaccinations will be encouraged and testing available where possible.

The company currently has five offices open in this stage, including in Sydney, Australia.
