Digital experience intelligence platform FullStory has announced its latest Series D round of funding.

The company’s platform provides real-time analytics and insights into digital products, experiences and mobile applications, helping customer success, engineering and marketing teams improve the user experience.

The data collected reveals customer behaviour, and is accessible via dashboards, as well as heatmaps and other visualisations of use.

The company’s latest Series D round was led by Permira, alongside existing investors Kleiner Perkins, GV, Stripes, Dell Technologies Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and Glynn Capital.

“FullStory customers use our software to perfect their digital experiences, creating customer delight, and driving business value,” said FullStory founder and CEO Scott Voigt. “Combining robust behavioural data with powerful machine learning (ML) strategies and heuristics, FullStory surfaces experience-enhancing opportunities that could never be found through traditional analytics, customer feedback, or usability testing. We will continue to aggressively innovate privacy-first platform capabilities that empower global companies to bring a better version of the digital experience to life.”

FullStory said it would use the funds to expand internationally and further develop its platform, having grown its annual recurring revenue by 70% in the last year.

“Traditional analytics have been upended by AI- and ML-enabled approaches that can instantly uncover nuanced patterns and anomalies in customer behaviour. Leveraging both structured and unstructured data, FullStory has rapidly established itself as the market and technology leader in DXI and is now the fastest-growing company in the category and the de facto system of record for all digital experience data,” said Bruce Chizen, Senior Advisor at Permira

The company’s customers include the likes of Chipotle, FTD, Fidelity, Financial Times, Ocado Group and Peloton.

“We are very excited to partner with the FullStory team as they continue to expand and build a truly extraordinary technology brand that improves the digital experience for all stakeholders,” said Alex Melamud of Permira Growth.
