B2B customer education and external training platform Thought Industries has announced the launch of a new platform for the creation, publishing and management of learning experiences for customers, partners and professionals.

Thought Industries’ platform is used to consolidate learning into a single area, with features such as gamification and certification functionality. Its customers include the likes of Amplitude, ZoomInfo and Medallia.

The new Customer Learning Cloud includes features for content authoring, embedded learning and curated insights via third-party integrations.

“Today is a major milestone for Thought Industries, as we expand our horizons with new technologies and investments to grow the market for customer learning software,” said Barry Kelly, CEO, Thought Industries

“We believe CLM is the next major wave of customer-centric software, which started with CRM in the 1990s, followed by Customer Success in the last decade. In a world where professionals need to continuously learn new skills and new products, industry leaders are learning that every dollar invested in customer education can accelerate onboarding, reduce churn and increase revenues.”

The company is also planning an open architecture allowing partners to extend the platform with their own innovations.

“We have a clear vision to enable learning everywhere, so people can learn at the right moment and right place in context — whether in front of a computer, in a car, or in a bulldozer,” said Todd Boes, chief product officer, Thought Industries.  “Looking ahead, the next major frontier will be opening up our architecture to expand the ecosystem for customer learning, and to empower customers to fully customise and extend our platform to meet their unique business needs”

The company recently partnered with cognitive AI search platform SearchUnify on providing on-demand and personalised training content for both customers and employees working remotely.

“We see unified search as a powerful way for our customers to provide self-serve answers to important questions across a range of platforms, all in one place,” said Barry Kelly. “Any time we can improve access to learning information in the customer journey, we’re all in. And this partnership with SearchUnify represents an important way to do that.”
