Aircall has named Scott Chancellor its new CEO, effective immediately, as the CCaaS provider aims to kickstart a “new chapter” in its growth.
Chancellor – who has ambitious plans to expand on its current product offering – succeeds co-founder Olivier Pailhès, who remains a member of the business’s Board of Directors.
Pailhès showed his support for the decision to bring in Chancellor: “I am delighted to welcome Scott as our new Chief Executive.
“He brings a very people-centric approach—across employees, customers, and product design—all of which are vital to Aircall’s mission of making richer, more meaningful conversations possible. His remarkable track record includes achievements in both Europe and the US.
“This is a perfect match for Aircall—a company with four European offices, one in New York, and a strong US customer base and focus.
I can think of no one better qualified to take the reins for Aircall’s next chapter as a global leader in communications.
Chanceller is taking the helm at Aircall at a time when the company has reported growth it claims is outperforming the wider CCaaS market.
According to Aircall, it is “confidently striding towards profitability” and expects to expand its product range within the next year.
Chancellor: Aircall Is Positioned to Expand Its Leadership
Previously, Chancellor served as CEO at Humu, a leading employee experience platform, where he was instrumental in expanding the company’s product portfolio before it was acquired by Perptyx.
He was also the Chief Product and Technology Officer at Apptio, where he effected a make-over to both its strategy and product suite. Again, this helped to put the company in a strong enough position for its acquisition by IBM that followed.
Earlier positions in his career include working for seven years at AWS, during which he founded and led AWS Insights as the General Manager.
Aircall believes Chancellor is committed to building customer obsession, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.
Furthermore, his career, which includes 20 years at top-flight global software and infrastructure companies, will be invaluable to the company in its goal of achieving a greater global presence, particularly within the US market.
Expressing his delight at taking up the new post, Chancellor said: “What Olivier and the Aircall team have achieved is remarkable. Ten years into its journey, Aircall is continuing to rapidly adapt to emerging customer needs, delivering the next generation of game-changing communications technologies for SMBs.
With its foundational product capabilities and significant market penetration, Aircall is positioned in a truly exciting way to extend its leadership across a number of adjacent use cases and customer segments, and I could not be more excited by the opportunity to lead the company through that evolution.
Earlier this year, Aircall added AI features – such as its AI transcription capability – to help SMBs increase performance and productivity.
After, the vendor earned “high performer” status within the G2 Enterprise Grid Report for Contact Center, Summer 2023.
