Employee feedback solution provider TINYpulse has been acquire by employee experience firm Limeade.

The TINYpulse Engage solution allows businesses to collect feedback from employees in a systematic manner, while Limeade’s offering focuses on culture-building and employee well-being.

Limeade framed the acquisition as a response to changes in approach causes by the COVID-19 pandemic, citing IDC data reporting that 44% of worldwide organisations planned to increase spending on employee experience technology.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has reinforced the original Limeade vision: Well-Being is foundational to creating healthy employee experiences, which in turn generate better business results for our customers,” said Henry Albrecht, Limeade Founder and CEO.

“Limeade Institute science tells us that listening, learning and acting on employee feedback is a top driver of well-being actions. By adding TINYpulse listening capabilities, Limeade is poised to deliver the next-generation employee well-being solution that fits seamlessly into people’s daily work.”

Limeade said TINYpulse’s workforce would be integrated with the Limeade team after the all-cash transaction closes at the end of July.

“Limeade and TINYpulse are two Seattle-area companies focused upon shaping the future of work,” said David Niu, TINYpulse Founder and CEO. “The entire TINYpulse team is thrilled to unite and bring our powerful listening capabilities to the most important thing of all: employee well-being.”

The news comes on the back of Limeade’s announcement it was collaborating with the Microsoft Viva employee experience platform, allowing Microsoft customers to access Limeade activities including exercise challenges, manager support toolkits, workplace inclusion lessons, and social connections.

“The world of work has forever changed. Given everything we’ve been through the past year and a half, it’s time to reset how we approach the employee experience,” said Henry Albrecht.  “Limeade is aligned with Microsoft in recognising that well-being is at the heart of a healthy employee experience. It can’t be something that’s neglected or left for the end of a busy and stressful day. It’s time we leverage the power of technology to be intentional about taking better care of ourselves and others — in the natural course of our day-to-day interactions.”
